Who are you? What is your job and how long have you been working at NSI?

My name’s Lise, and I’ve been working for NSI for a few months. I am 37 years old and I have 15 years’ experience working in finance and accounting, mainly in the management solutions sector for small and medium-sized companies.

What does the job of Business Consultant involve?

I am an ERP consultant on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. This refers to ERP intended for small and medium-sized companies. In this case, a Business Consultant might wear several hats. Firstly, they must grasp and understand their customer’s work and consequent needs. Then, they can suggest the most appropriate solutions to see this project through.
Once the overall project scope has been clearly identified, the consultant will be able to roll out solutions in partnership with their customer. Finally, they will ensure customer support to guarantee their satisfaction.

Could you describe a typical day?

There are no typical days when you’re a consultant. We might go from a workshop at the customer’s office to a technical meeting, while drawing up the calendar for a future project. That’s what makes it exciting! There are no dull days performing routine tasks.

What do you like most about your job?

I’m constantly moving about and working on different things! Every day is different, just like every customer and every project. We learn a little more every day.

In three words, how would you describe your daily work at NSI?

Discovery, friendliness, efficacy.

What’s the working atmosphere like in your team?

Really good! We help each other and share. Our numbers are growing and yet we can all count on each other. It’s a great team.

Why did you apply to be an ERP Business Consultant?

I was on the other side of the fence in my previous job. I worked in-house for companies who wanted to improve their management tools. When I applied to join NSI, I was bringing my experience to help more people while also developing my skills.

And why NSI?

NSI is all about values and reputation. These values hit home with me. The perceptions of learning, integration, diversity.

What would you say to an applicant about:

  • Your profession: It’s a very interesting job, it’s diversified and rewarding.
  • NSI: A well anchored company with a nice start-up vibe.
  • Your team in particular? A ‘Dynamic’ team!

How did lockdown change your working life?

In many ways. In one sense, we were further away from customers, colleagues, and yet we were much more connected thanks to current communication tools.
