In September 2021, the SWL, Société Wallonne du Logement (Walloon Housing Company), was the target of computer pirating.

The telephone system and the organisation’s IT environment was completely paralysed from one day to the next.

From assessment to data recovery, including the immediate impact on their business, Benoit Wanzoul reveals the ins and outs of this hacking and the role which NSI played in controlling it and quickly getting the system up and running again.

The challenges

  • Recover the critical data;
  • Allow SWL employees to keep on working despite the hacking;
  • Recover SWL business as quickly as possible;
  • Increase security levels.

The results

“I would like to stress how fast NSI reacted, it was a matter of minutes, not even hours. We had people working with us and in just a few hours, our computer team was boosted by the best NSI technicians.” - Benoit Wanzoul
