Who are you? What is your job and how long have you been working at NSI?

My name is Benjamin and I’ve been working at NSI for 8 years. Although I started out as an ERP application consultant in the NSI department working on the SPF Justice computerization project, I have since changed and now I am a functional analyst.

What exactly does a Functional Analyst do?

In my role as a Business Consultant, I had the chance to work more closely with the customer and therefore, to work in the field which is people-driven.

My role was essentially to meet the customer’s needs as best I could. It’s really exciting because you are always surprised by the direction that this can take. A simple phone call, or a contact can solve a problem that you’ve been stuck on for weeks or even months! I was also in charge of supervising users and helping them through any changes.

From there, it was a natural transition to the role of Functional Analyst. I still carry out a variety of tasks, but I also take part in the project’s thinking phase, not just its operational part. Getting closer to our customers and patiently building their trust really pays dividends.

Our joint project with the Belgian Justice Department was a real success story! There’s great pride within our department which has grown according to our customers’ needs.

Technology evolves and we evolve with it; and this challenges us at each new stage of this wonderful adventure.

Describe your daily work at NSI in 3 words

Challenge, listening and kindness.

What would you say to an applicant about NSI?

NSI is a company that puts everything in place to help us give the best of ourselves and grow our skills.

Apart from support and monitoring to maintain cohesion, NSI particularly stands out for its great kindness.

NSI is a very human company that steps up, even when life throws a curve ball. I know what I’m talking about from my own experience.

How would you describe the working atmosphere?

On a daily basis, it’s an exciting and friendly place to work, where people help each other out. There’s great team spirit and the lively atmosphere helps everyone feel at home, relishing our daily challenges.

What was your first impression when you started at NSI?

The most striking thing was that everyone says hi in the corridors, regardless of who you are or your level of responsibility. It’s a great atmosphere!

What I found incredible, I’ll say it again, was the kindness, plus all the chances it gives us to grow with the company; in my case by strengthening my knowledge and my skills. It’s a fertile environment that encourages you to better yourself.

Among NSI’s values, which inspires you the most or which do you identify with, and why?

Listening and Understanding

Above all, these are the values that spur me on the most every day. I identify with them naturally.

It also helps NSI to be effective, and work on prevention by anticipating problems. The fact that NSI includes this in its project management and with its employees is a real sign of synergy! It is doubtlessly one of the key factors to understand the beautiful history of NSI.

Finally, NSI reaps what it sows thanks to its atmosphere of helping each other. It’s a virtuous circle.
